Hawthorn Football Club is finding new distinctive ways to utilize audio visual equipment to their advantage. ELECTROBOARD were provided with a challenging brief by the coaching staff and were required to find an innovative solution that would suit their needs. What was created was an interactive training area and state of the art theatrette more advanced than those facilities provided by any other club.
Providing a motivating way to train.
The new gym area has been fully fitted out with a ultra modern audio system. The system is controlled by an AMX touch panel allowing ease of use and alternation between CD and radio system. The audio system has been installed for the convenience of the players during training permitting them to play music to motivating them to gain maximum results from their work out.
Innovating warm up methods.
Hawthorn Football Club’s state of the art warm up is a unique way of introducing audio visual technology into their training regime. Fitted with an audio system which can be used for pumping up players with music, this system is also fitted with a microphone to assist training staff in communicating with their players. Additionally, the Hawthorn Football Club’s warm up area has integrated a 10,000 lumen projector and 6 x 4 projection screen which is used not only to watch games and DVD’s for training purposes, but more remarkably to operate unique simulation software allowing the players to run various plays and assess the outcome off the field. This unique software gives players the opportunity to run their moves off the field and provides them to feedback on the success of the play in the given situation. This training method gives the players valuable advice and a unique outlook on their playing style.
Making theory reality.
Not only are Hawthorn Football Club updating their warm up areas but have continued their updates into their new technologically advanced theatrette. The new cinema style theatre boasts projector and screen linked to PC, DVD, Foxtel and radio and is fully controlled by an AMX touch screen. The theatre is used by players and trainers for assessing games and is an important facility for the training and improvement of the club.
Merchandise store.
The clubs merchandise store has also undergone an audio visual refurbishment with the installation of new 50" LG plasma displays which are used to play team games and other AFL related footage. In the future the club hopes to use these plasmas for digital advertising.
Why ELECTROBOARD?
Hawthorn Football Club had many options as to which Audio Visual supplier they used, so why ELECTROBOARD? To Hawthorn Football Club, “ELECTROBOARD were both proactive and responsive.” From the first site inspections, ELECTROBOARD representatives met with the users of the facility – in particular the coaches to discuss the uses of the equipment and what would be the best products for them. The request of the coaching staff was that the installed equipment would enhance their job and so ELECTROBOARD provided an installation which would complement their training methods.
